IMIC – Intercultural Migrant Integration Center e.V. takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we collect what information and how we use it.
The data collection, processing and usage rules described here apply as soon as you use one of our digital offers, create a user account or otherwise navigate our pages. They describe the basis for data protection on our pages – important: For some campaigns we work together with selected partners, for example on service pages, in the analysis of the use of our contents and offers as well as in the integration of advertising. If necessary, you will find additional references to the privacy rules of these partners. Also in the integration of third party content, especially social networks and platforms.
1. Personal data
Personal data are details of the personal and material circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, postal address, telephone number. Information that is not associated with your identity (such as number of users of the website) are not included. The use of our website is usually possible without providing personal data. We store your information on specially protected servers in Germany. Access to it is only possible for a few specially authorized persons who are responsible for the technical, commercial or editorial support of the servers. In connection with your access, data is stored on our servers at short notice for backup purposes, which could possibly permit identification (for example IP address, date, time and pages viewed). The IP address is then anonymized. It is not used to identify the user and neither personally nor pseudonymised user profiles are created. The statistical analysis of anonymous data records remains reserved.
If you have expressly consented, we will use your e-mail address to send you our newsletter on a regular basis. For the receipt of the newsletter the indication of an e-mail address is sufficient. The deregistration is possible at any time, for example via a link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively you can also send your unsubscribe request to firstname.lastname@example.org by e-mail.
3. Disclosure of personal data to third parties
We use your personal information (such as name, address or e-mail address) in the case of a newsletter subscription only within Topafric e.V. It is your choice whether to enter this information. These data will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent.
On our website so-called social plugins, “plugins” of the social networks Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest are used. These services are provided by the companies Facebook Inc., Facebook Ireland Limited and Pinterest Inc. In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, the plugins are integrated into the site via a so-called “2-click solution”. This integration ensures that when you visit a page on our website that contains such plugins, no connection is established with the servers of Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. Only when you activate the plugins and thus give your consent to the data transmission, your browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest. The content of the respective plugin is then transmitted directly from the provider to your browser and integrated into the page. By integrating the plugins, the providers receive the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile with the corresponding provider or are currently not logged in.
If you do not want Facebook, Instagram or Pinterest to directly allocate the data collected via our website to your profile in the relevant service, you must log out of the relevant service before activating the plug-ins.
6. Links to other websites
Our online offer contains links to other websites. We have no control over the fact that their operator or their operators comply with the data protection regulations.
7. Protection of minors
Children and persons under the age of 18 should not submit any personal information to us without the consent of their parents or guardians. We do not solicit personal information from children, do not collect them and do not share them with third parties.
8. Affected rights
You have the right to demand information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can provide information on the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the planned storage period, the right of rectification, deletion, limitation of processing or opposition, the existence of a right to complain, the origin of your data, if they were not collected from us , as well as the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where appropriate, meaningful information about their details.
9. Right to object
If your personal data are based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f DSGVO are processed, you have the right to file an objection against the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 DSGVO, provided that there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or if the objection is directed against direct mail. In the latter case, you have a general right of objection, which is implemented by us without stating a particular situation.
